Head to Heart

Our modern world has set us up to live in our heads. The achievement-oriented paradigm we live in has rewarded us for using our minds in a specific way to achieve and get things done. Our family life, our schooling, the industry we work in have all reinforced the belief that our minds should be in the driver seat of our lives rather than our hearts. 

There is an emptiness in living from the mind that we are collectively dealing with. 

This dominant paradigm has created unprecedented levels of anxiety, depression, and burn out. With this pain comes a deep yearning for something more in life. So many of us year to live a heart centered life full of purpose, connection and authenticity. We recognize that our minds cause us unnecessary suffering yet it feels almost impossible for the mind to give up control. 

How would it feel to lead more from your heart? 

Take a moment to envision how it would feel to let your heart take the lead. Would you feel more alive? More at peace? More connected to life and others around you? 

We believe that living the human experience to the fullest requires us to live from our hearts to the best of our ability. We have this human experience so that we can experience the fullness and profundity of it. Our minds can only grasp a small portion of this profundity, but the heart knows no bounds.

The first step on this journey is to recognize and acknowledge the desire to live differently. Living from the heart is not a switch to flip, it’s a journey to experience. You are being called to this journey by an innate knowing that living from the heart means living a more authentic, deeply connected, and fulfilling life.

Embarking upon the journey

Living a heart centered life takes commitment and practice. This is not something that we can just turn a light on and be done with. This is a process that takes conscious and concerted effort, especially when we are moving beyond conditioning.

Whether you are a well-worn heart traveler or brand new to the idea of moving out of the mind and into the heart, welcome. We are here to walk alongside you and provide tools and practices to return to over and over. 

We created Head to Heart as an invitation to experience your own version of what moving from the head to the heart may look like. This is a self-paced online course where you can do the practices as many times as you’d like. The intention is to reintroduce you to the magic of your heart and create a doorway for easy access to the beautiful light that is you.

Creating a doorway into your heart space 

The heart is always speaking but most of the time it is drowned out by the noise of our heads. The first step is always to create more space within ourselves so that we can clearly hear our hearts.

Being able to cultivate space within ourselves means becoming comfortable in silence. By quieting the noise, we remove a layer of obfuscation that keeps us from feeling connected. Quietness is where we are able to tune in and understand the heart’s language. 

If this feels challenging to you, this is very common. It’s against our survival nature to be still for long enough that we get past the mind chatter and be able to hear deeper parts of ourselves. Our limbic system literally tells us sitting in quiet is unsafe.

The truth is, your biggest gifts: your love, creativity, and passion reside in the quiet. Your heart is always safe.
